Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Boys defeat Tekamah-Herman in East Husker Conference Tournament
The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder boys defeated Tekamah-Herman 62-34 at home in an East Husker Conference Tournament Consolation game Friday night.
The Raiders led Tekamah-Herman 18-7 after the first quarter. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder won the second quarter 12-9 to take a 30-16 lead into the locker room.
The Raiders outscored the Tigers 13-5 in the third quarter to go up 43-21 at the end of three.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder scored 19 fourth quarter points compared to 13 for Tekamah-Herman.
Conner Gralheer had a game-high 17 points while Ben Moxness and Jacob Polk notched 16 and 7 points, respectively.
I wasn't sure how motivated and focused the Raiders would be, but they stepped up and won.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (11-8) hosts Lyons-Decatur Northeast (14-6) Friday night.
The Cougars defeated Wisner-Pilger 47-42 at home Tuesday night.
This should be a good battle. I'm not sure if Lyons-Decatur Northeast will have Alec Anderson for this game, but regardless of if he plays or not, it should be a close game.
Gralheer, Moxness, Polk, Darnell Sims, and others need to have good games for the Raiders.
This is a big game for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder. It's a chance to knock off a quality D-1 team and get to 12-8.
The Raiders should win being the larger class team, but the little guy can sometimes beat big brother.
I give Logan View/Scribner-Snyder the edge with the game being at home for them, but one cannot count out Lyons-Decatur Northeast.
It's the second to last regular season game the Cougars will ever play as Lyons-Decatur Northeast so I'm sure the desire to win is at all-time high.
The Cougars have been very competitive this season, and have found ways to win quite a few games that could of gone either way so Lyons-Decatur Northeast is definitely a force to be reckoned with.
The Cougars have also let some games get away from them though so it will be interesting to see what happens.
Listen to Friday night's game on 107.9 the Bull. It's set to tip-off after the girls game, which is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start.
