GACC Boys beat Kearney Catholic and Hartington Cedar Catholic
The GACC Boys downed Kearney Catholic 63-54 in Seward last Thursday night before beating Hartington Cedar Catholic 55-38 in the Mid-State Conference Tournament Thursday night.
The Bluejays have continued to play at a high level as of late. GACC is playing good basketball right now.
GACC (14-4) squares off with Pierce (15-3) in the Mid-State Conference Tournament at Northeast Community College Friday night.
Pierce defeated Norfolk Catholic 51-44 in the Mid-State Conference Tournament Thursday night.
The two teams have yet to meet this season, but are scheduled to play again next Thursday night in Pierce.
This should be a really good game between two juggernauts.
Pierce has won 3 in a row and 8 out of their last 9 while GACC has won five out of their last six.
It's a battle between two teams who are playing at a high level and are hot at the moment.
I think GACC has a fairly good chance to win, but they're going to have to play a really good game.
It's going to take a tremendous effort on GACC's part to get the job done. GACC can't afford to have any bad quarters or halves.
GACC needs to be on top of their game, and has to play with tremendous pride and passion Friday night.
Only GACC's best effort is going to yield them a win. GACC can't afford to be off and have a bad game Friday night.
I feel this game can go either way. This game is a toss up, in my opinion.
Tip-off is set for 7:45 p.m. at Northeast Community College in Norfolk.
