Wisner-Pilger Boys drop final home game to Twin River

The Wisner-Pilger Boys lost 52-41 at home to Twin River on Saturday.

The Gators did a good job playing the Titans close, but it's still a loss for Wisner-Pilger.

The Gators (7-14) travel to Madison (9-12) Friday night to end the regular season.

The Dragons are on a three-game winning streak having defeated Pender 80-41 on the road Saturday.

Wisner-Pilger has lost seven in a row so this is definitely a game between two teams who are headed in opposite directions.

Despite the fact the Gators have struggled recently, I think Wisner-Pilger has a chance to knock off Madison.

The Gators could really use a win to gain some much needed momentum for sub districts.

Wisner-Pilger has played teams close during this losing streak, it's simply a case of the Gators can't get over the hump.

Perhaps Wisner-Pilger's luck will change Friday night, but it's not going to be easy.

The Gators have to keep their spirits up and remain positive. It's easy to get frustrated when things aren't going well, but Wisner-Pilger has to remain upbeat and keep the positive vibes going.

The Gators must have a solid game plan and be ready to execute it. Wisner-Pilger has to get off to a strong start and finish strong as well.

The Gators could really use a complete game effort to get themselves over the hump.

We will see what Wisner-Pilger can do. A win would no doubt give the Gators a much better feeling heading into sub districts than what they would have with a loss.
