The Emerson-Hubbard Girls have continued to roll and shine, topping Pender 55-39 at home last Tuesday night, Allen 57-17 at home last Thursday night, Wakefield 62-29 in the Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament in Emerson on Saturday, and Winnebago 66-49 in the quarterfinals of the tournament Thursday night in Ponca.

The Pirates have simply continued to dominate. Nobody has been able to slow down Emerson-Hubbard.

The Pirates (18-1) take on Bloomfield (13-7) in the Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament Semifinals in Ponca Saturday afternoon.

The Bees defeated Wausa 42-25 in Thursday's quarterfinals.

This will be the first and only meeting between the two teams this season.

Bloomfield isn't bad, but I don't think the Bees are even close to the same level as Emerson-Hubbard.

The Pirates have answered nearly every challenge this season, and I look for Emerson-Hubbard to come through once again Saturday afternoon.

The Pirates just have to be intense, focused, and ready to play from the get go.

Winnebago played nearly even with Emerson-Hubbard for three quarters so the Pirates' overall play needs to be better.

I look for Emerson-Hubbard to have a game similar to the Pender game the second time those two teams played.

Not that the Pirates are being challenged, but whenever people think Emerson-Hubbard might falter, they rise to the occasion.

I look for the Pirates to do a similar thing on Saturday.

Normally I would say the game could be closer than some think, but given how Emerson-Hubbard has played lately, I'm going to say the Pirates win quite comfortably.

It should be a big victory for Emerson-Hubbard.

The game is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday in Ponca.
